Jade Haggerty is happy to return to Expressions Dance Centre after finding her true love for dance here many years ago. She began assistant teaching as a pre-teen and has since taught all ages and genres of dance. As a young dancer she was captain of her pom and chorus line and enjoyed competitive dance. As a student she earned the title of Miss Teen Superstar from Kid’s Artistic Review, and Runner-up Miss Dance at Star Systems. Jade continued her dance education at Hope College and Grand Valley State University, finding a passion for contemporary dance and traditional jazz. Jade also danced for the former arena football team, the Grand Rapids Rampage, as a Rage dancer. She has had the pleasure of teaching many award-winning competitive pieces in Michigan and Oklahoma, as well as choreographing for Oklahoma Baptist University’s theatre department. Jade is a mother of three and certified pilates instructor. Her greatest accomplishment in dance is watching the students build confidence and creativity in their art, and can’t wait to get to know EDC’s amazing dance family.
Hi everyone! My name is Taylor Tripp. I grew up in the Hastings area and went to Thornapple Kellogg Schools. For many many years (15 in total), I grew up dancing at Expressions Dance Centre and competing on the Dance Triology dance team! During high school I assisted in classes, taught classes on my own and worked as Miss Amy’s assistant (occasionally helping out last season from time to time) ! Over the years, I have attended numerous workshops and received scholarships.
Following high school, I attended Alma College where I received a Bachelors of Science and a Bachelors of Science and Nursing. After 5 years away from the area, I decided that it was time to move back closer to family and here I am! Currently, I am working as a nurse at Spectrum Blodgett and absolutely love my job! While being a nurse is my career, dance has always been my true passion. The studio was my home away from home for years and I am extremely excited to be returning! I am looking forward to spreading my love of dance and having a GREAT season!
